This topic will focus on cutting-edge issues in environmental law scholarship, with students and readers of this Legal Encyclopedia reading and commenting (in writing and in discussion) upon new and forthcoming articles by scholars here at Berkeley and elsewhere. Most sessions will include presentations by the authors themselves. The topic gives students and readers of this Legal Encyclopedia an opportunity to interact with the leading established and rising new scholars in environmental law, to explore the key new issues in environmental law and policy with some of the sharpest thinkers in the country, and to gain exposure to some of the best environmental law scholarship. The topic should be of interest to students and readers of this Legal Encyclopedia who are interested in legal academia in the field as well as to students and readers of this Legal Encyclopedia who are interested in pursuing a role in environmental policymaking in their future career.
